Introducing Flyshed

This year has made it difficult to get out fishing. During the first lockdown, angling was not considered to be a relevant exercise but, as the year has gone on, we have been able to get out a little more. However, during this time our lease at Eyebrook Reservoir expired so we decided to make the decision and move entirely online, so, without further ado, please allow us to introduce you to www.flyshed.co.uk

Eyebrook Tackle Shop is a store name that was entirely focussed on its location so we felt it was important to leave the name behind as we moved onto pastures new.Flyshed will bring you the same high quality fly fishing gear you have come to expect, at a price you have come to expect. Our huge line up is as extensive as ever and we offer next day delivery on all orders placed before 10.00am plus free delivery on all orders over £40.00

A new Adventure, Backed by a Legacy

Flyshed is an evolution. I was introduced to fly fishing at the age of 16 when Hardy Bros themselves hosted an ‘Introduction to Fly Fishing’ at Eyebrook Reservoir; the event was hosted by Richard Walker (external link to dickwalker.co.uk) of ‘Rod Building for Amateurs’ fame. This was closely followed by the development of Rutland Water which only heightened my enjoyment of fly fishing. By 1989 I had joined Roger Thom at Rutland Water Fishing Lodge.

The evolution from Rutland Water Fishing to Eyebrook Tackle Shop and now to Flyshed has been an adventure. We have worked hard to move with the times, developed strong relationships with the best manufacturers and fishing suppliers and now we are looking at taking the next step.;Fly fishing has been a major part of my life and even now, with all the changes that have come over the past **cough cough** forty years, fly fishing is a sport that is loved by many and sees more and more new people trying it every year

In with the new

One of the things we want to do with our new online presence is blogging. ;We want to be able to share knowledge and information, reviews, guides, anything and everything that will help you fish the water courses of the UK responsibly and within season.
